Biography

I am a poet based in Sheffield. My work is landscape based, sprung in the tension between nature and culture, aesthetics and pragmatics. My latest project is an exploration of the dichotomy between the inner and outer worlds.

I also undertake writing commissions on art, and have written for Bloc Projects and Artist's Newsletter.

I have worked in community arts for ten years on a huge range of projects that spans, but is not limited to, creative writing, video and magazine production, skateboarding and bushcraft. Clients include Junction Arts Bolsover, Nottingham Youth Inclusion Program, and Art in the Park (Sheffield). I also run East Peak Poetry, offering tuition, anthologies, and events.

I hold a BA (first class) in English Literature, and an MA (distinction) in English Literature (Creative Writing Pathway) from Sheffield University.
